And boy did I have an awesome time! I think God was smiling on me. What a well timed trip this was! Not only did I have absolutely beautiful weather in Colorado, but I was also extremely lucky to have escaped the terrible weather we’ve been having around here. I think it was payback for the fluke blizzard we got on my April trip! Elliott and I did lots of visiting, hiking, and site seeing. I can’t wait to share some of my own pics of my little guy, but I can’t touch those until I edit the photos from my mini sessions. I have a few sneak peaks ready to go. This was the third time I’ve had the pleasure of working with this beautiful family. It is such a small world! I learned on our last session that they actually have an Indiana connection. The Dad’s mother went to IUP back in the day when it was called the Indiana Normal School. Too funny! I absolutely adore this photo! I think it’s one of my favorites from all time!

I had the pleasure of spending yesterday’s beautiful afternoon with this gorgeous mama and her adorable little girl. The bond between these two is really special. So tender and sweet. I love that I caught this moment between mama and daughter. Mama’s first born is down in the corner looking on affectionately - with maybe just a teeny bit of jealousy.

Can you stand the cuteness? I can’t get enough of those little baby rolls!

She was so adorable! She loved being outside, and when the wind would blow, she would open her mouth really wide to take it all in… and look at that wind blown hair! Oh my gosh! She has the best hair ever!

I’ve just planned a spur of the moment trip to Denver for me and my little buddy, Elliott. We’ll be leaving next Friday, September 25th returning Wednesday, September 30th. If you need to reach me, I will be checking email and voicemail while I’m away.

I’m considering offering a Holiday Mini Session Event in Colorado, as well. So please contact me if you’d like to participate. If I get enough interest, I will schedule the event for the afternoon of Sunday, September 27th. The mini sessions will most likely take place at Daniel’s Park.

It is indeed that time of year again! Sessions are filling up fast. The deadline for holiday sessions is November 8th, 2009. Sessions must take place before this date and orders must be placed by November 21st to be guaranteed to arrive in time for the holidays.

whether I’m ready for it or not! There has definitely been a chill in the air the past few weeks. And although I can’t say that I’m ready to say good bye to summer, fall is such a beautiful time of year in Western Pennsylvania. This adorable, sweet sibling duo was just the perfect thing to get me excited for fall. I had so much fun with these two. I just love the beautiful warm tones of these photos… perfectly compliments their sunny personalities. These two had me laughing the whole session. It was so hard for me to pick just a few images to share on the blog. I love them all so much!

that my baby is old enough to be a first grader. The first day of school was this Thursday, and it was rough… for me (and Elliott). Ethan was nothing but excited. It is so hard for me to believe that he is really six years old. A school kid. I can remember our first few weeks with our screaming little newborn Ethan like they were yesterday (and my memory generally isn’t that good. lol!) I want to shelter him and keep him as my little baby forever. I’m just not ready to send him out into the big, bad world.

This precious sweetheart gets more and more beautiful every time I have the pleasure of photographing her. I would have to say that she is probably one of my three or four favorite people to photograph. (It’s probably not too hard to figure out who the other two might be!) Alright, alright - I’ll admit it… she’s my niece. But I really don’t think I’m being biased at all. She is just beautiful! And she’s a big sister now! Maybe I’ll share a few more of her adorable red headed baby brother in another post… We miss you guys! xoxo

Well, I guess she’s not really my anniversary present, but I can think of her that way if I want to! You see, this beautiful little angel’s mommy and daddy are dear friends of ours who happened to meet one another eight years ago today at our wedding. While we were in Virginia this weekend, we popped in for a visit to meet their brand new, five day old daughter. Isn’t she the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen?

Eight years. Wow. It’s crazy to think that it’s been that long. It seems like yesterday, literally. These past eight years as Mrs. Matthew Tomb have been nothing short of wonderful. We truly are very, very blessed!
