Wow! How did that happen? Another month flew by, and I completely neglected my blog. It’s time again for another of our blog circle’s “For the Love” posts. I am certainly feeling grateful and full of love for a lot of things this month. I think I will dedicate this post to the love of the warm weather and the hustle and bustle of all the end of the school year activities. From concerts to recitals to graduations and group parties, we have been hopping! Here are just a few snapshots of my little family enjoying a beautiful evening of disc golf and ice cream at Ethan’s cub scout pack’s end of the year celebration. Please follow the circle around to Veronica Armstrong, and see how she interpreted our “for the love” theme this month.
Is it just me or is this month flying by? It’s time again for our monthly “For the Love” blog circle. I am just thrilled by all the flowers that are popping up everywhere these days. We have really had to wait for spring this year, but I think the wait is making all the beautiful blooms smell even sweeter. It is so lovely to finally be seeing some life in the formerly dead and drab landscape. This month’s post celebrates my love of COLOR! Please follow the circle the around to Jennifer Stein, and see how she interpreted our “for the love” theme this month.

Jill! It is still snowing here today in Northern Colorado! Envious of your gorgeous captures.
Such beautiful tones and colors. These *scream* Spring. You killed it this month! Gorgeous.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

I realize this little guy is taking over my blog, but he’s my constant companion, and he’s just so darn cute I can’t help myself.

When I saw what the theme was for this month’s I Heart Faces photo contest, I knew just what I wanted to photograph. These things which dot the hilltops are a fairly recent addition to the landscape and have captivated my gaze on each and every trip to my parent’s house over the past several months. I have a love-hate relationship with these windmills. I’m all for clean energy, but they really obstruct the serenity and natural beauty of a landscape. We were totally in awe flying our little kite right underneath one. It was loud and creaky and just enormous!

Such a cool shot!
Awesome shot, I love the perspective, the child, the kite… everything. 🙂
Great photo! Those things are so huge!
wow! love how immense this feels! great shot!
This is an awesome shot. I love the unique perspective!
I love your perspective and the subject! Very cool shot.

Beautiful photo!! Congrats on your win!!!
I know that I’ve been heralding all that is good and beautiful and peaceful about winter. I think that my experience with cancer truly has taught me to see things differently, to appreciate the unique qualities of each of the seasons and to be grateful for them. The shorter days, the slower pace, the time indoors with family reading or playing games, there is plenty to be thankful for beneath winter’s snowy veil. BUT… Now it is officially spring, I’m ready for the change of seasons. I’m ready for the snow to melt, for the grass to green, for the flowers to bloom. Tomorrow is my LAST chemo treatment. Perhaps spring is holding off until tomorrow, so that I can spring alive along with all creation.
I love these Easter photos of my littlest from yesterday. The family went to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday. There was someone dressed as the Easter bunny, and Jude was totally enamored. He didn’t take his eyes off of the bunny the whole time we were there. So, we had lots of fun yesterday searching the snowy hilltop for the Easter bunny. We never did see him even though we did find lots of snowy tracks and even a few Easter eggs hidden in the snow.

OMGoodness! What an adorable session. Jill you have such an eye for popping color and creating contrast. I just love it!! Your youngest is too cute!!!
middle right with all the trees- my favorite. but they are all wonderful and he is such a sweet boy. tomorrow is your LAST treatment!!!!!
