“January” by Leland Jacobs
January opens the box of the year
And brings out days that are bright and clear
And brings out days that are cold and gray
And says, “Come see what I’ve brought you today!”
I was so blessed to have the opportunity to attend the JinkyArt Retreat in Alabama this July. Barb Uil was one of the very first photographers to really spark my curiosity and inspire me down this path some eight years ago, so I was thrilled to meet her in person. She and her adorable Australian accent are just delightful! If you haven’t seen her work, you’ve been living under a rock and you NEED to check it out!
Oh my goodness! Do they get any more adorable than this?! She was so sweet and smiley for us. If you miss the newborn window (which in my book is under two weeks old – preferably under 10 days), eight to ten weeks old is a another great time for photos. By this age, baby is really waking up to the world and you can get some fabulous eye contact and these melt-your-heart smiles. 🙂
