::No Fall Minis This Saturday::

A high of 38 degrees with rain and snow. Really? In mid October. Really? That is way too cold for an afternoon of photo sessions. My fingers are numb just thinking about it! I may try to reschedule for next week if I can shuffle a few things around. I have some openings left, so contact me if you’re interested. Aside from the minis, I only have a few sessions left before the holiday deadline.

This adorable little guy missed his afternoon nap, and Mom’s 30 minute commute turned into a 1.5 hour commute due to a few accidents on the highway – two things not in the recipe for the perfect portrait session. Nonetheless we persevered, and boy am I glad we did! The fall foliage and this sweet family couldn’t have been more beautiful. I am having a really difficult time narrowing down their proofs! So many favorites!

This little guy and his gigantic, blue eyes was just too adorable for words, and he had so much personality for such a little guy! I got a real kick out of some of the looks he gave me. ๐Ÿ™‚ I feel truly honored that his Mommy and Daddy chose me to take his one year portraits. That first year is huge and that first birthday is such an amazing milestone!

Even more amazing was being able to document some of this little guy’s very FIRST STEPS!!!

His eyes are beautiful! Love the color in these!

That is beyond neat that you got his first steps! That must be so cool for his parents to have it photographed professionally;)
I think my favorite is the one of all of them on the bench. I love the composition in that one and the way he is looking up at his ‘rents.
Great job!

Wow! The photo of his first steps is such a treasure! I love the family photo on the bench. You have really captured this family’s love for each other.

The color is amazing!! And how cool to get his first steps. I’m a photograher and still didn’t get my own kiddo’s first steps!

More from the CO minis

That intense gaze, those adorable chubby cheeks, that perfect little rosebud mouth – he’s irresistible! Boy can I see both Mom and Dad coming through in this one! We had a lot of fun together!schledornproof-13

While it’s those serious looks that always get me, Moms can’t resist the sweet smiles! ๐Ÿ™‚

He may have enjoyed me, but he REALLY enjoyed his big sister. These two were so sweet together!

And this one… she’s a spitting image of her Mama. I can not get over how grown up she is. She was just a little kid the last time I saw her!

I’m baaack!

And boy did I have an awesome time! I think God was smiling on me. What a well timed trip this was! Not only did I have absolutely beautiful weather in Colorado, but I was also extremely lucky to have escaped the terrible weather we’ve been having around here. I think it was payback for the fluke blizzard we got on my April trip! Elliott and I did lots of visiting, hiking, and site seeing. I can’t wait to share some of my own pics of my little guy, but I can’t touch those until I edit the photos from my mini sessions. I have a few sneak peaks ready to go. This was the third time I’ve had the pleasure of working with this beautiful family. It is such a small world! I learned on our last session that they actually have an Indiana connection. The Dad’s mother went to IUP back in the day when it was called the Indiana Normal School. Too funny! I absolutely adore this photo! I think it’s one of my favorites from all time!

And one more of the whole family…
